Description
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and maintenance tasks for cable plants and associated support structures.
- Operate and assist in maintaining line construction vehicles, ancillary tools and equipment.
- Perform secondary duties related to line team taskings, such as doing regular scheduled after hour duties, materiel handling and updating of cable records.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of secondary school.
- Successful completion of Lineman QL3 (CF), equivalent work experience or academic training.
- Minimum of one year experience installing, testing and fault finding Fibre Optic and Network cable (Cat 5 or higher).
- Must be familiar with OSP and manholes.
- Able to read Blue Prints and As Builts.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.
- Must meet English language standards consistent with STANAG 6000.
- Other duties as required.
