Description

Reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit, this position assists with the planning and execution of financial and operational audits throughout the ATCO Group. Working as part of an audit team, the successful applicant will perform process reviews, evaluate internal controls and provide recommendations for improving controls and efficiency in all Principal Operating Subsidiaries.  Some travel on audit assignments is required. 

 

This position is included within the scope of the ATCO Gas Analyst in Training program and the incumbent will be rotated into a financial analyst position in ATCO Gas in two to three years.
Responsibilities
  • Assists with planning audits and evaluations of  business control processes and risks
  • Auditing financial and operational control environments
  • Extracting data from Oracle Financials for audit analysis
  • Documenting audit findings for inclusion in audit reports
  • Discussing audit findings with management
Qualifications
  • University degree
  • Working towards or recently acquired accounting designation (CMA, CGA, etc.)
  • Self-starter with an ability to manage deadlines
  • Strong computer skills ideally including Oracle applications experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
