Description

ATCO Structures Inc. has manufactured, sold and leased workforce housing and modular buildings since 1947 to more than 100 countries.  We employ more than 1400 people in Canada, the United States, Chile, the United Kingdom and Australia.  We are currently recruiting for a Cost Accountant.  Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties.
Responsibilities
  • Reconciling general ledger and sub ledger accounts, and month end closing activities.
  • Accounting for all labour costs.
  • Monitoring Work in Progress and movement to Finished goods.
  • Monitoring and reporting monthly on inventory movement.
  • Generating daily project labour reports.
  • Monitoring and reporting on major manufacturing projects.
  • Coordinating month end closing activities.
Qualifications
  • As the successful candidate, you have an Accounting Designation supplemented by 5-7 years of related experience. 
  • You possess a thorough knowledge of GAAP and have an understanding of internal controls and design. 
  • You must have maintenance user knowledge of Oracle GL, AR, AP, FA Inventory and PA modules.
  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. 
  • You also possess technical financial accounting and advanced Excel skills. 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
