Hiring Process

You can search, review and apply for career postings from across the ATCO Group. Click on a menu title at left to start your search: Category, Company, or location. You can review the career opportunities listed and apply electronically. If you are being considered for an interview or another opportunity, our HR Team will contact you.

Let’s get started! The following instructions explain how to apply for a posting at ATCO and how you can expect the hiring process to unfold. Please note that our hiring needs are always evolving, so the hiring process may vary to accommodate the needs of our 10 companies.

Step one: Create your profile – Click the “Sign-in” button to create your profile. You will be asked to complete all required fields and to upload your resume.

Step two: Create your CareerAlerts – When you create your profile, you will also have the opportunity to create unlimited CareerAlerts, which will notify you by email when new opportunities arise that match your search criteria.

Step three: Apply for a position – Once you've created your profile, you are now ready to apply to the positions that best fit your qualifications. After you apply to a position, we will notify you with an email to confirm that we have received your resume.

Step four: Our online questions – Depending on the position you're applying for, you may be asked to answer initial online qualification questions, which will give us information about your availability, skills and experience.

*Please note that not all positions require online qualification questions.

Step five: The initial interview process – A member of the ATCO team will review your resume, and where, your answers to the online qualification questions. Initial interviews may be face-to-face or by phone, and may involve talking to multiple members of the ATCO team.

Step six: Additional interviews – If your skills and experience are a potential match for the position, further interviews may be scheduled. If it is determined that this position is not a fit, you will be notified.

Step seven: Background check – Before making an offer, ATCO will conduct pre-employment background investigations that may include a criminal background check, as well as verification of education and previous employment. For certain positions, a motor vehicle check will be conducted; for safety sensitive positions, a pre-employment medical will be done.

Step eight: Making an offer – If you are identified as the best person for the position, the hiring manager and/or recruiter will contact you to invite you to join the ATCO team. They will follow-up with a written offer letter and include information about the company and our benefits so you can make the best decision for your career. We look forward to welcoming you to the team!

Don't forget: Please keep your profile up-to-date as much as possible. Recruiters will review profiles from time to time and you may be considered for new positions as opportunities arise. Keeping your profile up-to-date is the best way to keep us informed of your skills and experience.
